BBQ spagatti

There has been a lot going on in my household lately. My itty Bitty one has to see some specialist to find out about some health concerns. We are pretty much downing fast food nonstop. I am addicted to McDonalds peppermint hot chocolate. Its my crack. My husbands is the peppermint mocha. I am in the process of taking away the bottle and going strictly to sippy cups. We finally found one she really likes so we are going to buy her a couple more for Christmas :-)  what else we are buying her I am not sure about, but its going to be a toy, something to read, and something to wear and then as she gets older something she wants. Christmas is about Jesus and that's what I want to make it about not presents. All I want is a new stroller, I hate mine. Its to short and I have to bend to push it which means my husband really has to bend. I hope he got my hints about the one I want:-)  he already got his present, a sweatshirt with earbuds built in and he loves it. I think I'm going to see if we can find a elf on the shelve on sale after Christmas and start it next year, I hope a two year old will like it, or is she too young? Onto what we ate today, other then my fastdood at lunch
Mesquite BBQ Spagatti
1/2 lb spagatti noodles
1/2 lb hamburger meat
1 cup BBQ sauce ( Sweet Baby Ray is what we use)
1 tbs steak sauce ( I used aldis brand)
1 tsp hot sauce ( also aldis brand, more or less on how hot you want it. )
1/2 tbs mesquite seasoning( found in spice asile by grilling seasonings)
Handful of bacon bits

Cook the noodles according to packafe,  drain and add about 1 tbs butter.
Brown the meat and drain fat off.
mix the BBQ, steak sauce, hot sauce, and mesquite and bacon bits
Pour into noodles and add browned meat, stir and enjoy:-)

I was not sure how all those taste would meld together but surprisingly it was very good. My husband enjoyed it. He also had me make the sauce and meat and he ate it on bread. My itty Bitty loved it as well so that is the biggest plus in my book.
Also if you have any ideas what to get a 15 month old for Christmas leave me a line :-)

Maple soy fish

I refuse with every fiber of my being to eat fish but my daughter and husband loves it so I make it for them. They both really really like this one and yes I know I used really twice in a row it was that good I guess. My daughter ate half the amount I gave her for supper and the other half later on in the day. The better half loved it and raved about how good it was and snarfed it down really fast. He add a little bit of sirracha hot sauce to it and his rice. He will pretty much use sirracha on everything though, I caught him putting it on dry spagatti noodles once( he made me try it, have to say not to bad)

Maple soy fish
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c maple syurp( I used butter flavored)
1/4 tsp ginger
1 lb of salmon

Mix these ingredients together well.
Place in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until fish is flaky and turns light almost white

My better half and sweetpea ate it with rice, while I had pan fried potatoes and turkey stuffing. Even with all his raving about how good the fish was he had the nerve, a lot of them, to steal a little bit of my stuffing.

starting something new:-)

At this moment I am watching Netflix and got to thinking how much I enjoy browesing the internet and other blogs for new recipes to use on my little family of three. I'd like my daughter to be able to go back and read what her mother made her for grub times. It is also an easy way to go back and remeber the recipes I like the most. My little is only 15 months and loves to help me make supper for her daddy

Tonight she helpd me make something new but only because i was feeling lazy and didnt want to make individual pancakes or deal with the mess.

Cupcake Pancakes
2 c bisquick
1 egg
1 1/3 cup milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sugar

mix all ingredents together until it is smooth  make sure to get the bottom of the bowl( i missed that and had powder on the bottom)
grease a muffin tin( i think I am going to use a bread pan next time, I'll keep you posted) Pour batter into the tin until each well is half full Place in a 400 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until edges are turning lightly brown We took ours and dipped them into butter and syurp and my little really enjoyed them were as my husband said the texture was just a little off but he gave it a he would eat it again so that's a plus in my book. Sorry no picture with this one I decided to do this literally at one in the morning g while everyone else in my house is fast a sleep dream of what they want for christmas:-) hope I can keep up on this and show you what I am eating/ cooking for my family.
